๏ธ Jobs Guide - Walkthroughs
Every job type in Dumb Ways to Build explained: Normal Jobs for learning, Crisis Jobs for the real challenge, and Master Builder mode for the endgame. Includes hazard lists and strategies.
Quick Answer: What Are the Job Types?
Dumb Ways to Build has three job tiers: Normal Jobs (tutorial difficulty, available from the start), Crisis Jobs (hazard-filled, unlocked by completing all 3 Normal Jobs in a set), and Master Builder mode (endgame, unlocked by completing all 3 Crisis Jobs). Each tier ramps difficulty significantly โ do not skip Normal Jobs if you want to be prepared for what follows.
Normal Jobs: The Tutorial
Normal Jobs teach one building concept each: planks and nails in the first, ramps and slopes in the second, multi-stage construction in the third. Hazards are minimal and there is no real time pressure. Use Normal Jobs to master the Nail Gun and learn structural stability.
- Job 1: Place planks, nail joints, reach the objective.
- Job 2: Build ramps and navigate slopes.
- Job 3: Multi-stage construction combining everything learned.
Crisis Jobs: The Real Challenge
Crisis Jobs introduce environmental hazards: collapsing scaffolds, rogue crane hooks, water hazards and escalating time pressure. Structures that held for 30 seconds in Normal mode collapse in 10 during Crisis. The Sledgehammer becomes essential for clearing debris.
Master Builder Mode: The Endgame
Master Builder mode combines every hazard from Normal and Crisis at extreme difficulty. The time pressure is intense and the construction tasks are the most complex the game offers. This is where the best builders separate from the rest โ and where the rarest certifications and cosmetics are earned.
